This homeless teenager ended up flipping the script and becoming his high school valedictorian! Prior to his graduation from First Coast High School in Jacksonville, Florida, Griffin Furlong spent the previous 12 years of his life homeless since his mother passed away when he was very young.
This is a simply amazing story and Griffin Furlong has one of the best “Never Give Up” mentalities you’ll ever see! He doesn’t whine or complain or ask people to feel sorry for him. He simply stepped up and worked his but off to achieve some pretty amazing things! Here’s a homeless kid who never missed school, never missed his practices, and alway had a positive attitude.
Griffin Furlong worked hard and conquered his misfortunes through belief in himself and dedication, and is now on his way to Florida State University to study engineering. His friends also helped him raise a staggering $40,000 for college expenses. He’s also been able to get some grants but is still working hard to get the money he needs for housing, bills, etc. It just goes to show that there’s nothing you can’t overcome in life if you have enough determination. Thanks for the inspiration, Griffin Furlong!
